Upholding Our Local Leaders in Prayer

As Stockport welcomes new civic leadership this May, the community is invited to gather in prayer for those who serve our town. The Stockport Prayer Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, 11th June 2025, from 7:30am to 9:00am at St Mary's in the Marketplace.

1 Timothy 4:1-2: "We pray for those in authority..."

This timeless instruction reminds us of our responsibility to support leaders through prayer, regardless of political affiliation or personal opinions.

As our newly appointed Council Leader, Deputy Council Leader, and Mayor of Stockport prepare to be formally sworn in at the Annual Council Meeting on 22nd May, this prayer breakfast offers a meaningful opportunity to surround them with spiritual support as they begin their term of service.

This gathering is open to everyone in the community who wishes to support our local government through prayer. There is no charge for breakfast, though for catering purposes please register using the button below.
